GB/T 7584.2-2026 Acoustics—Hearing protectors—Part 2:Estimation of effective A-weighted sound pressure levels when hearing protectors are worn
Basic Information
Scope
This document describes three methods (the octave band method, the HML method, and the SNR method) for estimating the effective A-weighted sound pressure level when wearing hearing protection. These three methods are applicable to both the sound pressure level of noise and the equivalent continuous sound pressure level of noise. The methods specified in this document are primarily suitable for steady-state noise exposure, as well as noise containing pulse components. This document may not be suitable for measuring peak sound pressure levels.
The octave band value, H value, M value, L value, or SNR value are suitable for establishing sound attenuation evaluation standards, so as to facilitate the selection and comparison of hearing protectors, and to set minimum requirements for sound attenuation.
