Scope

This document specifies the structural length and tolerances of metal valves.
This document applies to flange-connected, butt-welded, and clamped metal valves with nominal sizes ranging from DN8 to DN4000 and nominal pressures of PN2.5 to PN400, or nominal sizes of NPS1/4 to NPS160 and nominal pressures of Class125 to Class2500 (valve types include: gate valves, globe valves, ball valves, butterfly valves, plug valves, diaphragm valves, and check valves).
Note: The correspondence between nominal sizes DN and NPS is shown in Appendix B.
