Scope
This standard specifies the assessment grades and processes for wave energy resources, data collection, numerical simulation, the measurement-correlation-prediction method, data analysis, and the preparation of technical reports on resource assessment. This standard is applicable to wave energy resource assessment in three phases: planning and site selection, feasibility studies, and design and development. This standard is not applicable to wave energy resource assessment under extreme sea conditions.
