Scope

This standard specifies the classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, labeling, and packaging of plywood (made with formaldehyde-free adhesives). This standard applies to plywood products manufactured using raw wood veneers as raw materials, and adhesives made from formaldehyde-free chemical materials (such as thermoplastic resins) or biomass materials (such as plant or animal proteins, starch, etc.), as well as other formaldehyde-free chemical materials (such as vinyl acetate). This type of plywood does not release formaldehyde during use, making it an environmentally safe plywood product.
