Scope

This standard specifies the product classification, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of AC fans and speed controllers. This standard applies to single-phase rated voltages not exceeding 250 V, and other rated voltages not exceeding 480 V, driven by AC motors, including table fans, wall fans, floor fans, standing fans, ceiling fans, swivel fans, pillar fans, decorative ceiling fans, and their speed controllers. This standard does not apply to electric fans used under other special conditions.
