Scope
This document specifies the requirements for five types of steel wire-wound reinforced hydraulic hoses and hose assemblies with a nominal inner diameter of 6.3 mm to 51 mm.
This document applies to hoses and hose assemblies used with the following media:
——HH, HL, HM, HR, and HV oil-based hydraulic fluids defined in ISO 67434, where the applicable temperature range for types 4SP and 4SH is -40 °C to +100 °C, and the applicable temperature range for types R12, R13, and R15 is -40 °C to +120 °C;
——HFC, HFAE, HFAS, and HFB water-based hydraulic fluids defined in ISO 67434 with a temperature range of -40 °C to +70 °C;
——Water with a temperature range of 0 °C to +70 °C.
This document does not include requirements for fittings. It is limited to the requirements for hoses and assemblies.
Note: It is the user's responsibility to consult with the hose manufacturer to confirm the compatibility of the hose with the fluid being used.
