Scope

This document specifies the methods for dividing engineering geological layers, the methods for assigning stratigraphic numbers, and standard stratigraphic layers. This document is applicable to the division of engineering geological layers for geological surveys and engineering investigations in Nantong City (Chongchuan District, Tongzhou District, Haimen District, Economic and Technological Development Zone, Tongzhou Bay River-Sea Linkage Development Demonstration Zone, and Suzhou-Xuzhou-Throughout Science and Technology Industrial Park), as well as for reference in other geological work. When dividing engineering geological layers, in addition to complying with this document, it shall also comply with the provisions of relevant current national, industry, and local standards.
