Scope
This document describes the test method for determining the rupture strength of rubber or plastic-coated fabrics using hydraulic testing. The method uses a rupture testing machine designed as a Type A or Type B diaphragm rupture tester, both of which are operated by hydraulic pressure.
The Type A tester is suitable for materials with a rupture strength of 350 kPa to 5500 kPa, while the Type B tester is suitable for materials with a rupture strength of 70 kPa to 1400 kPa.
