Scope

Scope: This document specifies the terms and definitions, cultivation techniques, and harvesting and threshing techniques for promoting early maturity of spring wheat in the Yinghe Irrigation Area of Ningxia. This document is applicable to spring wheat production in the Yinghe Irrigation Area of Ningxia. Main technical content: Terms and definitions 3.1 Wheat Subsection Harvesting Method The wheat is harvested using a combine harvester when it reaches the middle stage of wax ripeness. After spreading it on the field to dry, the grain with a moisture content of ≤18% is picked up and threshed by a combine harvester with grain collection equipment when it is ready. 4 Cultivation Techniques 4.1 Variety Selection Use extremely early-maturing varieties that have been approved for cultivation, and the seed quality should comply with the requirements of GB 4404.1. 4.2 Site Selection Select fields with good irrigation and drainage conditions and medium or above fertility. 4.3 Autumn Fertilization and Winter Irrigation Apply farmyard manure at a rate of 1.5t~2.0t/667m2 or commercial organic fertilizer at a rate of 300kg~500kg/667m2 before land preparation in the fall. Plow and irrigate in early to mid-November. 4.4 Land Preparation Till the soil when the frost depth reaches 8cm~10cm. 4.5 Sowing Sow when the temperature is ≥0℃ and the frost depth is 5cm~8cm. The sowing rate is 20.0kg~22.5kg/667m2, and the seed fertilizer is 10kg/667m2 of diammonium phosphate. 4.6 Sowing Methods Use wide-narrow row, equal-row, or uniform sowing. The wide-narrow row is 18cm wide and 12cm narrow; the equal-row spacing is 15cm; and the uniform sowing is determined by the model and density. The sowing depth is 3cm~5cm, with uniform seed distribution. After sowing, compact the soil to retain moisture according to the soil moisture condition. 4.7 Breaking up Compacted Soil Break up compacted soil before wheat emergence to ensure full emergence. 4.8 Fertilizat
