Scope

This guideline specifies the definition, materials and testing, design, construction, and safety monitoring of externally added magnesium oxide concrete for non-horizontal joint arch dams. This guideline is applicable to Class 2 and 3 arch dams constructed in Guangdong Province. Class 4 and 5 arch dams can be used for reference. For Class 1 arch dams, dams with a height of more than 100m, or particularly important arch dams, when using this guideline, specific research should be conducted based on the specific problems of the project.
