Scope

This standard applies to three-phase asynchronous motors with a rated power of 1.5kW to 250kW, supplied by a three-phase AC power source with a voltage of less than 1000V and a frequency of 50Hz. The motors have four, six, eight, or ten poles, and are of the single-speed enclosed self-cooling and self-ventilated types, designed for intermittent cycle operation in lifting and metallurgical applications.
