Main technical content: 5. Cultivation techniques 5.1 Variety selection: Select high-yielding, high-quality, and selenium-rich japonica rice varieties suitable for local cultivation. The seed quality shall comply with the provisions of GB 4404.1. 5.2 Seedling cultivation: Factory-produced seedlings shall comply with the provisions of DB21/T 2163; seedling cultivation using non-woven fabric cover shall comply with the provisions of DB21/T 1285. 5.3 Transplanting: Transplanting shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of DB21/T 2750. 5.4 Field management: Conventional fertilization and irrigation management shall be implemented in accordance with Chapter 8 of DB21/T 3456-2021. Pest and disease control shall be carried out in accordance with the provisions of DB21/T 3374. 6. Selenium fertilizer application techniques 6.1 Selenium fertilizer selection: Sodium selenite water-soluble fertilizer is recommended. The fertilizer quality shall comply with the provisions of NY/T 1428. 6.2 Application time: Apply during the middle stage of grain filling. Spray selenium on the leaves in the afternoon after 4 PM on cloudy or sunny days. If rain washes it off within 8 hours after spraying, re-spray as needed. 6.3 Selenium application rate: The dosage of sodium selenite per 667 m2 is 0.45 g to 1.77 g. 6.4 Application methods 6.4.1 Drone spraying: Add water to 1 kg to 2 kg per 667 m2 according to the dosage in 6.3 and mix well. Spray the fertilizer evenly on the leaves of the plants using a plant protection drone. The spraying shall comply with the provisions of DB21/T 3674. 6.4.2 Manual spraying: Add water to 15 kg to 30 kg per 667 m2 according to the dosage in 6.3 and spray the fertilizer on the leaves of the plants using a sprayer or pesticide spraying equipment to avoid excessive selenium application and ensure even spraying. 7.
