GB/T 8554-2026 Transformers and inductors for use in electronic and telecommunication equipment—Measuring methods and test procedures

Scope

This document describes the relevant test methods and experimental procedures for important parameters and performance characteristics of transformers and inductors used in electronic and communication equipment.
This document is applicable to all types of transformers and inductors used in electronic and communication equipment, or to specifications that may involve such products.
Although the test methods described in this document can also be used for other types of transformers used in public industries, industries, and other power distribution applications, these test methods are not intended to replace the test procedures in other transformer standards, but to supplement them.
Some of the test methods described in this document are designed to determine whether the product meets specific application requirements, while other test methods are used in industrial manufacturing processes and customer acceptance tests.
The test methods described in this document include the most commonly used parameters in the transformer and inductor industry for electronic and communication equipment: insulation characteristics, winding resistance, loss, inductance, impedance, unbalance, turns ratio, and some less commonly used parameters.
