This standard specifies the weighted fuel consumption rate limits and their test methods for off-road diesel engines. This standard applies to off-road diesel engines with a rated power of not more than 560 kW (hereinafter referred to as diesel engines), which use light diesel fuel, excluding marine diesel engines that burn heavy oil.
