Scope

This standard is applicable to the determination of the glass transition temperature of mineral oils, especially rubber-filled oils. The glass transition temperature of the samples used for precision statistical tests is between -103.0°C and -37.4°C. This standard can also be applied to samples with glass transition temperatures outside this range, but when the glass transition temperature of the samples exceeds the temperature range of the precision verification test samples, the precision of the method may not be applicable.
