Scope

This document specifies the technical requirements and packaging requirements for surface cleaning of heat-treated strengthened stainless steel parts during the manufacturing process.
This document is applicable to the surface cleaning of martensitic, precipitation-hardened, and martensitic aged stainless steel parts. The surface cleaning of austenitic stainless steel parts shall be implemented in accordance with the guidelines provided herein.
