Scope

In order to standardize and guide the design, construction, and acceptance of chimneys, ensure personal health and safety of life and property, safeguard the ecological environment, and meet the basic needs of chimney engineering construction, this standard is formulated in accordance with relevant laws and regulations. This standard applies to the design, construction, and acceptance of new concrete chimneys, fiber-reinforced plastic chimneys, steel chimneys, brick chimneys, and other single-cylinder chimneys, sleeve-type chimneys, and multi-tube chimneys. It also applies to the reinforcement and anti-corrosion modification of existing chimneys. In addition to complying with the provisions of this standard, the design, construction, and acceptance of chimneys shall also comply with the provisions of current national standards.
