Scope

This document defines the terminology for on-site comparison tests of wind and wave elements on large-scale marine data buoys, establishes the target principles, and stipulates the technical requirements, implementation of comparison tests, data processing and judgment, and aspects such as comparison test reports.
This document is applicable to on-site comparison tests of average wind speed and average wind direction, effective wave height, and effective wave period on large-scale marine data buoys. On-site comparison tests of wind and waves between other marine data observation platforms can be carried out with reference to this document.
