Scope

This document specifies the type and size, technical requirements, test methods, and selection of test items for hot-dip galvanized hexagonal head bolts (hereinafter referred to as bolts), foot nails, hexagonal nuts (hereinafter referred to as nuts), and hexagonal thin nuts (hereinafter referred to as thin nuts) used in transmission line towers and electrical fittings with thread specifications of M10 to M64 and performance grades of 4.8, 5.6, 5.8, 6.8, 8.8, and 10.9. It also covers acceptance inspection, assembly and packaging, quality information management, and quality certification documents. This document stipulates the use of enlarged tapped dimensions for internal threads to accommodate the hot-dip galvanized layer and meet the requirements for the fit between the galvanized external and internal threads. This document applies to transmission line towers, electrical fittings, and other steel fastening components. Note: The fasteners produced according to this document are suitable for use in temperatures ranging from –50°C to +150°C. When the operating temperature exceeds this range, users should consult with relevant parties.
