Scope

This standard specifies the method for the flow chemical analysis of inorganic nitrogen and reactive phosphate in seawater. This method is suitable for the determination of inorganic nitrogen and reactive phosphate in ocean water, coastal waters, and estuarine areas. The measurement range of ammonia nitrogen is 0.005 mg/L-N to 1.0 mg/L-N; the measurement ranges of nitrate nitrogen and nitrite nitrogen are 0.005 mg/L-N to 1.0 mg/L-N and 0.004 mg/L-N to 0.1 mg/L-N, respectively; and the measurement range of reactive phosphate is 0.0024 mg/L-P to 0.30 mg/L-P.
