Scope

This standard specifies the development method for the first-level probabilistic safety assessment (PSA) of internal fires in power operation conditions of nuclear power plants. This standard is applicable to the PSA of internal fires in power operation conditions of pressurized water reactor nuclear power plants. After considering the characteristics of the shutdown operation conditions and making appropriate adjustments, it is also applicable to the PSA of internal fires in shutdown operation conditions. Nuclear power plants of other reactor types may refer to and implement it accordingly.
