Scope

This standard specifies the gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) method for the determination of 10 chlorophenols (2,3,4-trichlorophenol, 2,3,5-trichlorophenol, 2,3,6-trichlorophenol, 2,4,5-trichlorophenol, 2,4,6-trichlorophenol, 3,4,5-trichlorophenol, 2,3,4,5-tetrachlorophenol, 2,3,4,6-tetrachlorophenol, 2,3,5,6-tetrachlorophenol, and pentachlorophenol) in toys. This standard is applicable to the determination of chlorophenols in leather, textiles, and wood in toys. The detection limits of all chlorophenols in this standard are 1.0 mg/kg.
