Abstract
This document specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, and storage for asbestos-free fiber-reinforced rubber gasket materials used in ships.
This document is applicable to the design, manufacture, and acceptance of asbestos-free gasket materials for sealing ship piping systems used for gases, water, steam, oil, and medium-acid and alkaline media with a working temperature not exceeding 350 °C and a nominal pressure not exceeding 4.0 MPa. Other equipment and pipelines can also refer to and use these asbestos-free sealing materials.
