This document specifies the safety requirements for electric shavers, electric hair trimmers, and similar appliances for household and similar purposes.
This document applies to electric shavers, electric hair trimmers, and similar appliances for household and similar purposes with a rated voltage not exceeding 250 V.
Battery-powered appliances and other DC-powered appliances are within the scope of this document. Appliances powered by grid electricity or dual-power appliances powered by batteries are considered battery-powered appliances when operating in battery mode.
