Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, markings, labels, and packaging of speed measuring instruments for motor vehicles (hereinafter referred to as speed measuring instruments). This standard applies to devices used to measure the speed of motor vehicles traveling on roads, but it does not apply to devices installed on motor vehicles for measuring their own speed.
