GB/T 17411-2012 Marine fuel oils
Abstract
This standard specifies the classification and designations, requirements and test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, transportation, storage, and safety of marine diesel engines and petroleum fuel oil for boilers (with appropriate pretreatment before use).
Fuel oil meeting this standard is also suitable for fixed-type diesel engines and other marine machinery of the same or similar make.
This standard specifies four types of distillate fuel oil, one of which is for emergency use by diesel engines. It also specifies six types of residual fuel oil.
Note 1: For the purposes of this standard, the term "petroleum" includes bituminous sand oil and shale oil.
Note 2: The technical requirements for marine gas turbine fuel are specified in GB/T 29114—2012 [1].
