This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, and storage of copper wire billets for electrical use. This standard applies to circular-section copper wire billets with a diameter of 6.0mm to 35.0mm, intended for further drawing into wire or other copper conductors for electrical use.
