This part of YY/T 0809 specifies the test method for determining the fatigue performance of stemmed femoral components in partial and total hip replacements under specific test conditions. It also prescribes test conditions to consider important parameters affecting the test components and describes the method of installing the samples. This part also stipulates test parameters and fatigue limit requirements for femoral components, including fatigue limit values and the corresponding number of load cycles. This part applies to prostheses with a symmetrical plane, prefabricated inclination, or double-sided curved stem. This part does not include the inspection method for samples after completing the fatigue test, which is determined by the laboratory and the sample provider through consultation. For the fatigue test of modular femoral components, it specifies the liquid test environment for the femoral components.
