GB/T 17215.647-2021 Electricity metering data exchange—The DLMS/COSEM suite—Part 47:DLMS/COSEM transport layer for IP networks
Abstract
This document specifies the transport layer (TL) of the DLMS/COSEM communication protocol set used in IP networks for both connectionless and connection-oriented communications. These transport layers provide OSI-style services to the DLMS/COSEM application layer. The connectionless transport layer is based on the Internet standard User Datagram Protocol (UDP). The connection-oriented transport layer is based on the Internet standard Transmission Control Protocol (TCP). The main components of the DLMS/COSEM transport layer are UDP and TCP, with TCP and its additional sublayer referred to as the encapsulation sublayer. Appendix A explains how OSI-style transport layer services are converted between UDP and TCP function calls.
