This part of GB/T 25122 specifies the terms and definitions, usage conditions, general characteristics, and testing methods for power converters used in locomotives and rolling stock. This part applies to power converters supplying power to the traction circuits and auxiliary circuits (powered vehicles, passenger cars, and trailers) of rail transit locomotives and rolling stock. This part can also be applied to power converters of other traction vehicles (such as trolleybuses, etc.). This part applies to complete converter units and their configurations, including: -- Semiconductor device assemblies; -- Integrated cooling systems; -- Integrated components including inductors, capacitors, transformers, resistors, contactors, and switches; -- Semiconductor drive units (SDU) and related sensors; -- Protection circuits. This part includes the following types of power supply sources: -- AC overhead contact lines; -- DC overhead contact lines; -- Onboard power supplies (such as generators, batteries, and other power sources). This part does not apply to converters providing electrical control power for semiconductor drive units (SDUs) or converters supplying power to other equipment (such as sensors) related to the operation of converters.
