This document establishes the general principles for elderly care institutions to create a cognitive impairment-friendly environment, providing guidance on common settings and arrangements in living, bathroom, transportation, dining, and activity spaces.
This document is applicable to the environmental settings of dementia care units in elderly care institutions, as well as to the environmental settings in general elderly care institutions that promote the development of elderly people's cognitive functions.
