Abstract
This standard specifies the operating procedures for measuring the particle contamination of transparent, uniform, single-phase liquid samples using automatic particle counters based on the principle of light shielding. The method described in this standard is suitable for monitoring: a) the cleanliness of hydraulic systems; b) the flushing process; c) auxiliary equipment and test benches. This standard is also applicable to the monitoring of other liquids (such as lubricating oil, fuel, and processing solutions).
