Abstract
This document specifies the classification of steel ropes for ropeways, the content of orders, the materials of steel ropes, technical requirements, inspection and testing methods, acceptance, selection and maintenance, packaging, marking, and quality certification.
This document is applicable to round-strand steel ropes, shaped-strand steel ropes, compacted strand steel ropes, and sealed steel ropes used in towing ropeways, ground-based cable cars, passenger and freight overhead ropeways, and other applications.
