This part of GB/T 16656 specifies the integrated resources necessary for the scope and information requirements of manufacturing using numerical control processing and related processes, including the scope and information requirements defined by the GB/T 19903 computer numerical controller data model.

Although each application protocol has unique scope elements, other elements are common to many application protocols, such as manufacturing features and manufacturing tolerance descriptions.
