This part of GB 21551 specifies the scope, terms and definitions, technical requirements, and marking for the antibacterial and disinfection functions of household and similar-purpose appliances—electric washing machines.
This part applies to fully automatic electric washing machines used in households and similar settings, which are explicitly indicated to have antibacterial and disinfection functions on the appliance or in the user manual.
Note: Ordinary single- and double-tub washing machines are not applicable to this part.
