Abstract
This document specifies the terminology, rules, and methods related to the marking and understanding of reference points and reference systems in product technical documents. This document also provides corresponding explanations of the concepts involved to facilitate understanding.
This document defines the standardized set of operations for establishing reference points and reference systems (see GB/T 24637.2). The verification set of operations (see GB/T 24637.2) can take different forms (physical simulation or mathematical fitting), but this is not the subject of this document.
Note: GB/T 16671 provides detailed rules on the maximum and minimum entity requirements of reference points.
This document is applicable to product geometric technical specifications related to reference points and reference systems.
