This standard specifies the classification and designations of high-carbon chromium bearing steel wire, order details, dimensions, shapes, weights, and allowable deviations, technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, marking, and quality certificates.
This standard applies to round steel wire made of high-carbon chromium bearing steel (hereinafter referred to as steel wire) used in the manufacture of bearing rolling elements and bearing rings.
