Abstract
This document describes the test methods for industrial stearic acid, including iodine value, saponification value, acid value, color, melting point, moisture, inorganic acids, ash, and the determination methods of its composition. This document is applicable to the determination of industrial stearic acid (mainly composed of octadecanoic acid and hexadecanoic acid) produced by refining animal fats and vegetable fats through hydrolysis and extraction or distillation methods.
