Abstract
This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, and marking, packaging, transportation, storage, quality certificates, and order forms (or contracts) for semi-continuous casting of 4XXX series aluminum alloy round cast ingots. This standard applies to 4XXX series aluminum alloy round cast ingots (hereinafter referred to as round cast ingots) used for extrusion, forging, and other processing methods. The production and control processes are described in Appendix A.
