GB/T 9771.5-2008

This part of GB/T 9771 specifies the requirements for the geometry, optical characteristics, transmission properties, and mechanical and environmental performance of B4 class non-zero dispersion-shifted single-mode optical fibers, and stipulates the measurement methods for fiber characteristics. The zero-dispersion wavelength of this type of fiber is not near 1,550 nm, and it has a non-zero small dispersion value in the wavelength range of use, in order to suppress the four-wave mixing (FWM) effect in dense wavelength division multiplexing (DWDM). Different types of fibers can be used in the wavelength range of 1,530 nm to 1,565 nm and the wavelength range of 1,460 nm to 1,625 nm. This part is applicable to B4 class non-zero dispersion-shifted single-mode optical fibers used in communication cables and other information transmission equipment.
