GB 17498.2-2008 Stationary training equipment—Part 2:Strength training equipmen—Additional specific safety requirements and test methods
Abstract
This part of GB 17498 stipulates additional special safety requirements specifically for strength training equipment, in addition to the general safety requirements of GB 17498.1. This part should be used in conjunction with GB 17498.1.
This part applies to S-class and H-class strength training equipment (hereinafter referred to as training equipment) in fixed-type fitness equipment types with weight resistance or other forms of resistance, such as: barbell plates, elastic ropes, hydraulic, pneumatic, and magnetic systems, and springs.
The auxiliary devices used for additional exercises on training equipment comply with the requirements of GB 17498.1.
