Abstract
This part specifies the mechanical safety requirements and test methods for hand-held cultivators (also known as mini cultivators, garden management machines, etc.). This part applies to hand-held cultivators with an engine/motor rated power of up to 7.5 kW. This part does not apply to: — Cultivators with an engine/motor rated power greater than 7.5 kW; — Machines driven by a power take-off (PTO) shaft; — Front-suspended electric hand-held cultivators; — Electrical requirements for power cultivators with a DC voltage exceeding 42 V or directly connected to the main power supply line.
