GB/T 5210-2006 Paints and varnishes—Pull-off test for adhesion
Abstract
This standard specifies the test method for measuring adhesion by the pull-off test on a single or multiple coat system of paints, varnishes, or related products. This standard is effective for comparing the adhesion strength of different coatings. It is even more effective in providing relative evaluation grades for a series of painted test panels with significant differences in adhesion strength. This standard is applicable to a variety of substrates, with different steps being used for different types of substrates. Substrates prone to deformation, such as thin metals, plastics, and wood; and hard substrates, such as thick concrete slabs and metal plates. For specific situations, the coating can be directly prepared on the surface of the test columns.
