GB/T 10066.12-2006

This part of GB/T 10066 specifies the test methods for various infrared heating devices. This part is applicable to infrared heating devices that use long-wave (far infrared), medium-wave (medium infrared), and short-wave (near infrared) infrared radiation emitted in a vacuum between 780 nm and 1 mm in wavelength as the heating source, to heat, dehydrate, dry, and coat components (materials) in furnaces by absorbing (emitting) heat radiation and light radiation. Examples include infrared vacuum furnaces, infrared (vacuum) drying furnaces, infrared metal surface coating devices, food tunnel baking furnaces, and wood, herbal medicine, or grain drying furnaces. The purpose of this part is to standardize the test methods for determining the basic parameters and technical characteristics of infrared heating devices for the above-mentioned types of furnaces. In order to characterize and evaluate the performance and energy utilization efficiency of furnaces, issues such as thermal efficiency, calculation of radiation heat exchange between infrared heaters and heated components (materials), and environmental protection are addressed. Test items in this part can be selected based on the specific conditions of the infrared heating device, and additional test items can also be conducted. Specific test items shall be agreed upon by the manufacturer and user of the furnace. This part is used in conjunction with GB/T 10066.1-2004 "Test Methods for Electrical Heating Devices - Part 1: General Requirements".
