This document specifies the special safety requirements for electronic control devices supplying emergency lighting with continuous and non-continuous emergency service power (hereinafter referred to as ESSS). This document includes specific requirements for electronic control devices and control units used for self-contained emergency lighting luminaires as described in GB/T 7000.222-2023. This document applies to fluorescent lamp control devices and control devices for other types of lamps, such as incandescent lamps, high-intensity discharge lamps, and LED lamps. This document applies to the emergency mode operation of control devices. For control devices that combine normal lighting and emergency lighting, the normal lighting operation is specified in the corresponding Part 2 of the IEC 61347 series. Emergency lighting DC power supply electronic control devices may or may not include an emergency service power supply (ESSS). This document does not apply to emergency lighting DC power supply electronic control devices connected to a central emergency power supply system. The central emergency power supply system may be a central battery system. Note: Appendix J of GB/T 19510.203-2023 applies to electronic control devices connected to a central emergency power supply system that supply AC, AC/DC, or DC power for emergency lighting work.
