Abstract
This part of GB/T 2889 specifies the practical application of commonly used symbols related to the calculation, design, and testing of sliding bearings in ISO 4378-4.
ISO 4378-4 distinguishes between basic symbols and additional symbols. Additional symbols are used as superscripts or subscripts. The symbols required for the calculation, design, manufacture, and testing of sliding bearings are either basic symbols or a combination of basic symbols and additional symbols.
This part provides the symbols needed in the calculation, design, and testing of sliding bearings. These symbols are defined in accordance with the methods recommended in ISO 4378-4.
The positive direction of rotation and direction is defined as the left-handed (counterclockwise) rotation direction. This definition also applies to rotation frequency, circumferential speed, and angular velocity.
