Abstract
This standard specifies the terms and definitions, disassembly, classification and cleaning, inspection and repair, assembly requirements, performance requirements, and test methods for gear rack-type, recirculating ball-type mechanical and hydraulic power steering units, as well as inspection rules, marking and packaging.
This standard applies to the remanufacturing of gear rack-type, recirculating ball-type mechanical and hydraulic power steering units.
This standard does not apply to electro-hydraulic servo steering units and electronic steering units.
This standard does not apply to steering units that have experienced fire or collision accidents.
