Abstract
This standard specifies the basic characteristics of test road surfaces used for measuring vehicle and tire/road noise. The road surface design given in this standard: -- Ensures the consistency of various tire/road noise propagation under different operating conditions (including those suitable for vehicle noise testing); -- Minimizes the differences between sites; -- Has only a slight sound-absorbing effect on vehicle noise sources; -- Is consistent with the actual application practices of road construction.
