Abstract
This part of GB/T 231 specifies the principles, symbols, and explanations of the Brinell hardness test for metal materials, as well as the testing equipment, samples, testing procedures, uncertainty of results, and test reports. This part is applicable to fixed Brinell hardness testers and portable Brinell hardness testers. For the Brinell hardness test of special materials or products, please refer to GB/T 9097 and this part.
