Abstract
This document specifies the requirements for hard anodized films on aluminum and aluminum alloys, and describes the test methods for hard anodized films on aluminum and aluminum alloys.
This document also stipulates the information that the purchaser should provide to the supplier (see Appendix A).
This document applies to hard anodized films on aluminum and aluminum alloys. It does not apply to films produced by processes such as plasma electrolytic oxidation, micro-arc oxidation, plasma chemical anodizing, anodic spark deposition, or spark anodizing.
